In Dash Digital Depth Sounder (DF1000D) (D10D): The numbers on my display are dim?
The most common reason that an LCD starts to fade is extended exposure to direct sunlight. If you do not have a cover for your vessel and the display will be exposed to direct sunlight we recommend that you install a 1000-30 Sun Cover. http://www.shopnorcrossmarine.com/servlet/the-9/Sun-Cover/Detail
If you are the original purchaser of a unit that is less than 2 years old that has a faded display you may be eligible for a FREE replacement unit; contact customer service (customerservice@norcrossmarine.com) for more details. Be prepared to provide the product date code (3 digit code on the back of the housing) and a copy of the original bill of sale showing you as the original purchaser and the date of purchase.
If you are not the original purchaser or the date of purchase is over 2 years there will be a $30.00 repair fee plus shipping and handling charges.
