Transducers: How do I know if my hull is solid fiberglass?
A) Check with the manufacturer of your boat.
B) Take the standard in-hull/transom transducer and apply a small amount of petroleum jelly to the bottom. Power up your unit and place the transducer in the desired mounting location. While in the water if a reading is attained your hull is solid fiberglass and is capable of using the in-hull mounting application.
